I hired Mr. Remsen to finish a family law case I’d been fighting on my own for a year. He did exactly what I asked him to do and got the case close in one hearing, a couple motions. I paid him $5000, which I was under the impression was a retainer. Out of that only $2000 was used. When the case was closed I assumed I’d receive the remaining $3000.
